A Rant
I am fully taking advantage of this blog being a forum for me to moan about things that annoy me.
Jeremy Clarkson et al (the short one and the one with really, really bad hair) get on my nerves.
Maybe that is the point of Top Gear, to get on the nerves of every girlfriend in the country.
I truly believe that Philip can find a programme at any time of the day with Jeremy blithering on about some crap, generally looking smug about smashing a crap car or caravan up or driving a car that costs more than 3 times my house did.
This rant was caused by the smug student walking by me at lunchtime with a T-shirt that stated in white writing on a black background…
“I am the Stig”
Oh for god’s sake.

Victoria loves Top Gear and I know many other women who do too.
It's great TV and blowing up caravans is what life should be all about. :-)
Christian, I think it's that short fella, the hamster guy, that they like, rather than Top Gear per se.
I'm torn on Clarkson. His outlook on life is diametrically opposed to mine and he is a walking talking cliche of himself. But he does make me laugh.
Is it because I'm a girl,so naturally a bit thick, but what does 'I am the stig' mean? and how does this relate to top gear?
I am lucky. Nick does not watch the afore mentioned programme so I can avoid the appauling J Clarkson quite easily.
I am a girl (!) and I love Top Gear. I search on the sky guide for old episodes. I like the little cute guy who has to stand on a chair to move the pictures around on the Good car / Bad car board!!! It's even better than "Pimp my ride"
The Stig is the guy (anonymous) who test drives the cars around the race track. Nobody knows who he is, and that's why the t-shirt saying "I am the Stig" works - because the wearer could be!!!
Well, I know a guy who is actually called Stig. Thats his real name. He is Danish.
